December Eagle Update

Oak Grove to extend Remote Learning - January 1/04/21 - 1/15/21.

Out of an abundance of safety and caution, the Oak Grove School District will extend remote learning for the weeks of January 4th through January 15th.  Due to anticipated family gatherings and social interactions around the holiday season, the Board of Education and administration feel that a two-week period after the winter break will provide our district a strong start to the 3rd quarter.  The administration is providing this information in advance to assist in arrangements needed for students to be able to connect to their classrooms during these weeks.  We do appreciate your understanding in wanting to keep our learning community safe. Happy Holidays to all and let's get out of 2020!

Latest construction pictures show progress.

The current construction projects at Oak Grove School include the addition on the back of the Heath Gymnasium which will hold a Bright Futures / ECE classroom, a future classroom that will be used for gym storage and custodial storage, the new PE teacher's office and storage area, as well as two changing rooms that may be needed for basketball and volleyball games.  Additionally, the old locker room areas will be converted into a Nurse's office, two additional offices, a dedicated copy room, classroom storage, PTO / Booster storage, and district file storage.  On the exterior, the existing playground is being extended, the pickup line is also being extended, and blacktop is being placed for recess on damp days and for baseball / softball game parking.  Richard Wagner fields are being rebuilt in a different configuration to better support the use of the entire site.  Along with the project, the Heath Gymnasium will be converted to forced heat and air conditioning and the flooring system will be converted to a raised wood floor.
